| 설명 | 파킨슨병과는 다른 것으로, 뇌혈관성이나 약물성 등의 증후군(이차성)과 파킨슨병, 즉 무동, 근육강직, 떨림 등의 임상증상을 동반한 중추신경변성 병에 대한 명칭이다. 임상증상의 하나로서 파킨슨 증후군을 나타내는 변성병이 대부분을 차지하며, 파킨슨병에서는 나타나지 않는 피라밋로증상, 실조 등의 신경증상을 확인할 수 있다. 치매의 합병 빈도는 20% 전후이며, 뇌파이상이 나타난다. 1817년 영국의 J. 파킨슨이 보고한 것으로 유전성도 고려되는 병으로 치매와 함께 치명적인 노인병으로 알려져 있다. 또 같은 증세가 유행성 뇌염(일본뇌염), 뇌매독, 일산화탄소중독, 망간중독, 윌슨병 등 일 때에도 나타난다. 발병률은 1천명 중의 한 명꼴로 연령이 높을 수록 발생빈도가 높다. 50세 이상에서는 백병 중 한명의 발병률을 보이고 있다. |
