subacute nodular migratory panniculitis
a condition considered by some to be the same as erythema nodosum migrans, characterized by the development on the anterior and lateral aspects of the lower extremities, particularly in women, of discrete nodules that spread centrifugally with erythematous borders and central clearing (giving the appearance of migration) and coalesce to form plaques that eventually involute, usually with residual pigmentation.
