LGA
is defined according to the ABS Australian Standard Geographical Classification (ASGC) - 2004. In the CARS database, LGA is derived for the jurisdictions New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia. The LGA is a spatial unit which represents the whole geographical area of responsibility of an incorporated Local Government Council. Note that for South Australia the LGA is derived from the ABS Collector District (CD).
