| 설명 | 삼투라는 현상은 일정 크기 이하의 물질은 통과시키고 그 이상의 크기를 가진 물질은 통과 시키지 못하게 하는 막(반투막)을 사이에 두고 양쪽에 그 막을 투과하지 못하는 물질의 농도가 차이가 날 때 발생하는 것으로 막을 통과할 수 있는 물질이 막 양쪽의 통과 할 수 없는 물질의 농도를 같게 하는 방향으로 움직이는 것을 말한다. 예 를 들어 설탕분자가 통과할 수 없는 셀로판지를 사이에 두고 한 쪽에는 농도가 진한 설탕물을 넣고 한쪽에는 농도가 옅은 설탕물을 넣었을 때 셀로판지를 통과할 수 있는 물 분자가 양쪽의 농도를 같게 하는 방향 측 농도가 짙은 설탕물쪽으로 이동하는 현상을 말한다. 이때 여기에 작용하는 힘이 삼투압이다. 모세혈관에서의 물질 이동에 있어서 삼투현상은 아주 중요하다. 그리고 이 삼투압을 유지해주는 것이 알부민이다. |

| 설명 | 적혈구세포의 삼투압 특성 변화에 대한 민감성. 적혈구가 저농도의 나트륨 용액에 노출하면 세포막의 능력을 초과할 때까지 다량의 물을 흡수하여 부풀어올라 파열하고 고농도의 나트륨 용액에 노출하면 적혈구의 세포내액이 빠져나가 크기가 줄어들며 파괴된다. 예외적 취약성이나 저항성은 특정 병의 진단적 기준이 될수 있다. 정상세포는 0.39~0.45% 소금물 용액에서 용혈이 시작되며, 37℃(98.6℉)에서 0.30~0.33% 소금 용액에 적혈구를 노출시키면 용혈은 24시간 이내에 완료된다. |
